Have you tried Pixelmator Pro? Asking that because you use Photomator, same familyI purchased Photomator when I acquired a new Mac and got into photography again because Apple Photo wasn't doing everything I wanted/needed it to do and I really didn't want to pay monthly for PS and LR. Then, as fate would have it, I was given a 3 month free trial of Photoshop and Lightroom (I still use an old copy of LR on my older MBP) and while they all do SOMETHING the other one doesn't, I am finding myself using Photomator more than Photoshop. I like the way it's integrated with Macs and it does most things I need it to do. A lot of what PS offers is overkill for me. Enjoy!
DOH! You caught me being daft, @katbel ...it IS Pixelmator Pro and not Photomator that I purchased and have been using. I frequently get those two mixed up. Once I watched many YouTube videos and got used to Pixelmator Pro, I really like it. I believe I also tried Photomator as well, but I can't remember enough to give you a comparison. Thank you for setting me straight! 🤣Have you tried Pixelmator Pro? Asking that because you use Photomator, same family
In case yes, do you think Photomator is better than Pixelmator Pro?
Please read the first post in this thread, which explains the rules for the POTD. Each month's Photo of the Day thread is specifically for images which participants have photographed themselves, not random memes plucked off the internet. Thanks.View attachment 2366448
Some random picture meme I found in my gallery, tought I'd share
Thanks! 😊 I have Pixelmator Pro and I like it as you wrote.DOH! You caught me being daft, @katbel ...it IS Pixelmator Pro and not Photomator that I purchased and have been using. I like to play with HDR and that's about the only reason I go to PS, but it's not enough of a reason to get me to pay monthly for PS. When I'm editing, I often find myself choosing Pixelmator and then I think "I should be using Photoshop while I have the trial available" but it's hardly the app I used to know years ago and I just find myself getting frustrated, so I don't believe I'll be keeping it. I am happy with Mac Photos as a library (except for a few quirks) and having it backed up in Lightroom on my other computer for now. I have to say it's amazing what these apps can do now and what I used to have to go through to even TRY to get the same results 10 years ago! Thanks! 😊 I have Pixelmator Pro and I like it as you wrote.
I don't get what should compel someone to rent Photomator instead
and this is why I wanted to know from someone using it, if there was such a difference to make the point to pay more.
Please.....just one photo shared on the POTD thread per day! I believe you have already been informed of this rule earlier. Yes, we all live in different places and have time zone differences but think of it this way: it is possible to simply share ONE image within one's own 24-hour time frame, isn't it?holy guacamole batman … View attachment 2366519
