I walked in Hines Park (Wayne County, Michigan) and checked on a Killdeer nest. Using my Sony 400mm GM Prime Lens to stay distant, I observed these brave birds, which perform a broken wing act to lure predators—like me—away from their nest. They’re odd little creatures.

The striking part is how the red around their eyes is all feathers, but it makes their eyes look so much bigger. Of course they probably are thinking that your 400mm lens makes your eye look bigger too. :D
