it's a Shoebill, native to Africa. They used to say it's related to the stock but it's changing now (DNA tests) it's closer to pelican ... pic taken at SD Safari Park

Sorry, one final pic from the oldie file. This one is another version of the Brooklyn Bridge pics that I've been sharing over the last several days. This one a B&W conversion of the pic with the cyclist in the foreground.

Going on a trip next week, so may have some current pics to share for September. Thanks for indulging me this month as I've been in edit mode and not shooting mode :).

Speaking of sparrows.. Very sharp.

Haven’t had enough time yet to test my new lens out, so only sparrows agreed to do a quick photo session in a local park for now :) But, yes Sony 600mm zoom seems to be very sharp. AF is excellent as well.
