It's September already! New thread is over at:
It isn’t in the states!!!

It isn’t in the states!!!
Right now it is only 11:04 PM in the MidAtlantic States of the US, and in other parts of this country it won't even be this time yet..... Sorry, Alex, you're jumping the gun on us from "Down Under"!
1.5 hours left on the clock here for August, but I already posted my last shot of this month!
Unless something has changed, it was always based on GMT. But I know that the only true centre of time is that based on Beijing time. 😋

In the first post of every month it has this mention:
Note: Anyone may start the Photo of the Day thread on the first of the month GMT. Please copy a quote of this post to maintain all the formatting.

Not to argue, but I always read that as a "do not start before" kind of thing. But I guess the opposite should also apply since people are on both side of the international date line.

But seriously that seems like too much clock math. 😉

That's good that I waited till well after then! Wouldn't want the time-police on my case now, would I?! 🤣

The first lesson in watching Doctor Who is to not abbreviate Doctor! :p We’ve watched probably 10 seasons of it, starting with Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor.
oh bother. we tried to watch it once but just gave up after like 15 minutes. we usually see things through for at least one whole episode. but i'm not sure we started at the beginning.

Perhaps just use GMT for the beginning and end of the month?
That's always been the way I interpreted it as having been worded. That anyone can start the new monthly thread from the start of the new month based upon GMT. Which therefore means the end of the previous month has passed? Hang on is it yesterday or tomorrow? 😱 🤔🤣

Yeah, we were actually corrected by a few people who watched it. Not sure why that seems to be a no-no. :)

We are sci-fi watchers here. In that genre, sometimes you have to get over some plot holes and/or bad acting and just enjoy the story line. Case and point, who would have thought that the movie “Demolition Man” would have actually been an oracle of the future? :D

You have three shells there?

For years the start post used to start with "It is .... on the International Dateline. "

If we want to use a fixed time to use, then I think it should be that again. (not that it really matters, the start of a new month is always a bit messy. People forgetting to post in the new thread, others reacting to posts in the last month)

Not necessary, please keep it as it is. I like it more relaxed thank you ;)

Cheers :)
