Very nice work, Alex.

A wonderful bird is the pelican,
His bill will hold more than his belican,
He can take in his beak
Enough food for a week
But I'm damned if I see how the helican!

My father would recite this little ditty every time he saw a photo or image of a pelican... it came racing to my memory as soon as I looked at this photo.

Thanks for sharing that with us all, it was a beautiful memory! The emotional responses of people to photographs is one of the amazing things about this folly!

Thats a lovely shot, is it one image or more? What settings did you use for it?
Thank you @keyrex :)

It's one shot at f/8, ISO 64 (Nikon D850) and 1/640 sec. I did process the shot in Photoshop with a curves adjustment layer and mask to bring out the highlights and punch-up the old fort in the background which was quite dim and dull compared to the boat in the foreground.

Which plantation? Magnolia perhaps? We toured Boone Hall just outside of Charleston this summer. We found it quite impactful.
Yes, Magnolia.
Driven past it over the years and never even knew what was there.
I like being surprised like that.

This is my first picture in this forum. Taken with my iPhone 6 Plus. I’m a trucker and go many different places.
This gentleman’s name is Zack and he is from France. Has been traveling on bike for almost 23-27 years now and been to many different countries.
I have always loved meeting people from other cultures and this helps me learn more about others as well as myself.
