My father would recite this little ditty every time he saw a photo or image of a pelican... it came racing to my memory as soon as I looked at this photo.

Yes, Magnolia.Which plantation? Magnolia perhaps? We toured Boone Hall just outside of Charleston this summer. We found it quite impactful.
