My grandma had one of these that I recall growing up. Totally forgot they existed. It was pretty hard to use in the clay soils we had.

Aggressive photobombing. They demanded that I take their picture and wouldn't leave until I did. Weirdly, didn't even want a copy...and I wasn't about to ask adolescent girls their email address to send to them.

Nikon Z6-IR (i.e. a Nikon Z6 converted to infrared) with Nikon 85mm PC-E (i.e. a tilt/shift lens) handheld without any tilt/shift @ f/4, 1/250th sec, ISO 100. The 85mm PC-E lens is one of my best lenses for IR photography, without any hotspots even when stopped down.
This pic doesn't "scream" IR, but it works quite well as an IR capture. The dead leaf would have been uniformly brown with a standard camera. I prefer the way it is rendered with an IR converted camera.

I believe this is a yellow-browed sparrow, but my searching shows it's native to South America, but has been spotted in North America, too. I don't know how rare a sighting this is?
Edit: I guess it's a white-throated sparrow. Makes way more sense!

...Some kind of a chicken breed. No idea of the specific name.
When I first saw this thing I thought ' There's gotta be a law against putting live poultry in the dishwasher ' , but seeing it appeared alive and in reasonably good shape , I held off . Glad to know he's just the product of selective breeding , and not malicious intent .
My first thought when seeing that bird was, "wow, this poor gal or guy is having a REALLY bad hair day!" LOL!!! Nothing like the wind-blown look, eh?!
