Arches at the Seattle Center's Pacific Science Center. The Science Center was designed by Seattle-born Minoru Yamasaki and the design made him famous, leading to his picture on the cover of Time magazine. He went on to design the World Trade center and many other large-scale projects, becoming one of the most prominent architects of the 20th century.

View attachment 2325144 I went to the local pharmacy behold I saw a robotic device that is circling the store promoting items that you can buy. This is insane. But these are all over this franchise of pharmacy in Japan.

One of our local Chinese restaurants has one of these. It brings takeout orders from the kitchen to the front door...a distance one could easily walk in about 5 seconds. My favorite part is that it plays mariachi-style music when it's on the move. :D

Yes, we have a local college campus that was using these years ago - long before Covid to whiz things around on campus; we would see them when my kids went to swim meets on campus. We also have a newer mixed-use development where they use them for stuff like door dash. We saw one a couple of weeks ago and my son stood in front of one trying to get it to go around him, but the robot just waited patiently and my son gave up the fight after about 90 seconds, lol, so stepped out of the way and then the robot carried on as normal.

Yeah this is a recent phenomenon now that the stores are using these. Restaurants have been using them for a few years but the animation now is starting to be more prevalent with With mobile sales baskets the show products. My daughter is studying hardware and software in robotics now and her university. And she says this is just the beginning
