Do you mean the macro filters? Although I don’t have an x10 one of those. This is with the velvet 56 and stacked 8mm and 11mm extension tubes. Plus the use of a tripod.Nice
I haven't really tried the x10 macro lens yet (I assume that's what you used for this shot), as it's difficult enough to get focus with the x4

Thanks. I should have guessed it wouldn't be so easy. I've just bought the LensBaby macro filters which have +4 and +10 lensesDo you mean the macro filters? Although I don’t have an x10 one of those. This is with the velvet 56 and stacked 8mm and 11mm extension tubes. Plus the use of a tripod.
ETA Do you mean this?
So I do have some of those but I have +1, +2, and +4. But those only work on the optics and the Sol. They don’t work on the velvets. Which is why I have extension tubes now. ?Thanks. Edit - I've just seen your link and yes that's the one.

Did you kill it after taking its picture? Just asking as they are considered an invasive species in Florida. Haven’t seen one (yet) on my land but unfortunately I did spot a couple of Macaques looking to be around 17 pounds. Spotted them with my binoculars on a recent overnight hike. Very bad monkeys, sharp daggers and claws, and a Herpes B carrier. For now, their numbers (apparently) are sufficiently small enough to where they are afraid of us. As their population increases - that could change. Currently we can peacefully co-habitat together. I won‘t bother them as long as they don’t begin making moves to attack. Still, the thought of hundreds of monkeys flying through the trees is unsettling; as I spend a lot of time hiking and camping overnight. Hopefully, the bobcats will keep their numbers down.Wild Iguna RT 41 Naples Fl feb 1 11AM
I was lucky, and took 50 photos and posted 10 other creatures on that 4 mile walk to the phone store along a highway.

i would not kill a mosquito, but that is just me.Did you kill it after taking its picture?
When I got my Sol 45 from Amazon, the trio of +1, +2 and +4 close-up filters came with it, and one of the first things I did was to order a step-down ring in order to also use this trio on my Sony 50mm f/2.8 macro lens if I had the urge, and they work well with it when I want to experiment with getting really, really deep-in and super-close to my subject. I've only tried this a couple of times so far, though. I have larger close-up filters that work with my other normal and macro lenses but didn't have any that worked with the fairly small filter size of the 50mm f/2.8. Used extension tubes in the past, though, with it. Fun to have the flexibility and choice! So I do have some of those but I have +1, +2, and +4. But those only work on the optics and the Sol.
