Have found an actual gem or two going through the 5254s. Can't recall the exact location of these grain elevators, but I'm guessing High River, AB or one of the other small towns along Highway 2 south of Calgary. You can bet at least 4 of them have been torn down sometime in the past 50 years. Pretty sure this was shot using the Bushnell 28mm ƒ2.8 lens. In that era mere mortals could not afford Nikon wide angle lenses. Especially on draftsman wages.

This was an experimental photo, and I don't know if it's any good?
Maybe it's just boring?

Photo taken in August 2007 on a old house in Sweden.

Nikon D40X - 78 mm, f/5.6, iso 200, 1/50
i don't think it's boring. i like the complementary colors and i like that you emphasized in on a detail that might be overlooked. i do think the focus fell a bit from where you intended, however. ❤️ but keep shooting! (i know this is an old image.) we don't grow unless we experiment. 🙂

Thank you!
You are right, I did try to set focus in the middle of the old iron knob.
And I almost did it🙂
I totally agree with you about just keep practicing and shooting.
In every jobs or hobby it takes time to be good at it, unless you were born with a gift.
Sadly I wasn’t😁 but for every time you press the button to take a photo, you are one step closer to be good at it.

There's bison in trees and then there's bison in the campground - Custer State Park, SD. A potentially catastrophic situation -

Some years ago I visited the park in a van. One of the bisons leaned up the rear window of the van. In the rear window it looked like a giant nickel! 😃
