Anyone remember these? My old Marantz 2245, circa early 70s. Getting ready to gift it to my oldest son, he likes old....errrrr vintage stuff.

Nope -- a light dusting of snow on the door mat in front of my door.... I opened the door to take a look out, to see if snow had drifted on to our breezeway, and noticed the interesting pattern and textures created on the mat, so went back into the house and grabbed my iPhone, which was closest at hand, and stood in the doorway and shot the photo.

Sold a bunch of these back in the day I was in the audio business! Nice unit. Marantz was audiophile manufacturer years ago. The 10B FM Tuner was a classic. The company was sold to Sony SuperScope which brought out this line of upscale consumer products.

this reminds me... some years back, i owned and loved my Sansui Receiver QRX9001.. massive wooden case, beautiful illuminated analogue instruments.. turning the volume knob felt like turning a substantial piece of metal very smoooothly... the wheel/handle for frequency adjustment had some weight as well... if it got a push, its inertia let it rotate further, slowing down smoothly... hmm.. i loved that machine with its 23kilograms (details)...
@zagato27 thanks for this blast from the past =)
