I have to say that it’s quite impressive that you have kept so old images!
It’s almost 48 years ago you took this photo!

This is why it’s so important to backup our photos😊
I know friends that have 3-5 years images on their children and grandchildren in their mobile, and suddenly the mobile stops to works, and all images are lost forever.
Backup is the way😊
4x5s are different than other negs. Even though I've hung on to a few that really should have been trashed, most of them are worth reviewing. I also have quantities of 35mm from my learning era and I doubt that I will ever bother sorting or reviewing them. The GtGR (Gem to Garbage Ratio) is simply too low to make it worth the time and energy.

Otherwise it's proving to be an interesting project for sure. I have been able to breathe life into some negs that were so hopelessly underexposed that I had not bothered trying to print them at the time.

I also had one neg that is in seemingly perfect condition, exposure is perfect as well. I printed and sold at least two enlargements from it back in the early 1980s. Now I can't pull a good scan for love nor money. Will try to copy that neg with the camera next time I'm set-up, might go a bit better.

And yes if your images are digital, archival choices short of printing them out at at least 8x10 inches, are totally inadequate.

This is why everything that I shoot on my phone gets pulled off just as soon as possible. That and I only have 64 Gb. I goofed an update on my 4S once and lost everything on it, including a bunch of stuff of my girls that hadn't been removed yet. One thing I dearly love dropbox for is live back-ups of photos and videos. Haven't found anything else that does that without down-resing everything.

Europe
New York, my 2nd favorite city in the world. The pandemic had interrupted my regular visits (coming from Europe), I hope to be back soon in this wonderfully inhomogeneous city.
There architectural photography gives me a lot of pleasure and I also never get bored with those iconic buildings.
A greeting photo goes to all who have also received wonderful memories from this city.

The photo was taken with the iPhone SE, I was still using Adobe software at the time (Lightroom 5.7.1).
