Sunset at the Ventura pier. I’m moving from Ventura this week, so feeling a little nostalgic 🥹

I’d like to know where / when this happened. So lacking snow here in USA, and my sister did a 10 day winter wonderland tour Germany / Switzerland/ other Europe lacking snow also .
The meta data shows that the photo was taken on: Sat, 24 January 2009 8:28 AM...

We are having snow here right now (CA, Sierra's) and I saw that Scandinavia is having crazy snow...

Can’t see meta data on iPhone, I’m in Bozeman airport now 2.5 more hours before flight departs
Well glad you getting snow, as shown below big sky is about 30” shy snow . 1/2 the runs not open, we made the best of it, still.
The ski base was so damaged from rocks etc, literally I’ve never skied in these conditions before. P-Tex base huge scrapes in it.

if you are using a browser on your phone, you can rotate your phone to landscape, then click on the photo (or go to the person’s media gallery if it’s not clickable). then click on the little arrows on the right side (>>) then click the down arrow next to metadata and it will show you what has been embedded (some people strip the metadata).

i find this doesn’t work with images posted via tapatalk, however.

Just looked at “the rules” .. it’s been a while ..
Who here still posts EXIF data?
Yea, I used too, but not done so in ages.
1) I take lotta iPhone photos & some R5 photos
2) “I get it”, was used to help others grasp exposure and other photography 301 info.
Is that so relevant these days vs when the thread started?
Since at least 2007 that rule has been there
3) other sites auto displayed the EXIF info, like POTN
[*]Describe your photo - Tell what it is and where you took it. If you know the EXIF data of a photo, include it. The following EXIF fields are recommended: Camera, ISO, Focal Length, Shutter/Aperture and Lens.
