I've just found it - on the uploading page you now have to click on the 'info' button at the top, and a little green square appears in the thumbnail. The EXIF shows now in a test upload.

Cheers :)

So leaving them in the pits I bought them in was my mistake!
I meant to repot them but got busy with other things.
Funny I do have a third that came in a small pot that's doing much better.
Regarding watering, up in the Midlands (until the last week or so), nature takes care of that most days!
Thanks for the tips.

The watering every day was only meant for the ones in pots. Ones you plant in the ground should be watered until they're established. Even though they like it dryish, they won't survive drought until they've got their roots in the soil. If you plant them in autumn, they're usually okay with just an initial water or two but if you plant them in the summer they need watering until the cooler weather. The next year they should be fine. The ones known as English lavender are easier than the ones known as French lavender unless you've got the right conditions.

I hesitated to upload this, because AFB's butterflies are so much better, but I'm experimenting with the kit lenses again.
I definitely couldn't get close enough with a prime as these little buggers are quite skittish...

Remember I was in a butterfly farm. I had 100's to shoot. I have a 105mm macro lens and flash set, and plenty of mine are poor.

Well, hopefully I can do better with a little more persistence :) and remembering to use the right aperture next time

Very nice composition but could you maybe clone out that beige spot? stop it distracting? just a thought

I definitely agree with editing out that brown spot on the leaf. Other than that, it looks really nice and the colors on the butterfly are beautiful!

I know its one photo a day, but same photo, just with Kenoh's and johaen8's feedback

I like this one. Yes I know the wing is not in focus, but I preferred it that way.

I am in. Here is anther one of my Butterfly shots. We bread these from caterpillars so they were used to our hands.

Were they very hungry caterpillars?
Used to be a favourite book of my little one many years ago.
