The other day Alfred met his match: a really feisty fish who wasn't ready to leave this world and who fought the good fight: wiggling, squirming, flapping, trying to flip out of Alfred's grasp..... Alfred had a time hanging on to him. It was fascinating watching the two of them! Finally Alfred flew to a nearby spot of land where he could better deal with his prize and eventually dine in a shady spot without interruption.

So glad to hear Fat Orange Cat is recovering well.View attachment 2027217
A while back I posted picture of Fat Orange Cat right after he had tangled with somebody, probably a raccoon, that bit him on his left side of his face, worst injury was under his chin. I have been putting Neosporin ointment on it morning and night, making sure it was infected. Fortunately that has worked well, he let me rub it on, and it is all most healed. He is strictly an outdoor cat, been here longer than me, about 8 years. If I let him in, he will spray even though he is fixed. He is quite content to sleep outside. I didn't think he would do well at the vets, but I would have taken him if it got infected.
Inside - only for kitty Milo is right! Yeeks!!So glad to hear Fat Orange Cat is recovering well.
Milo is now 1 year old and strictly an indoor cat for his safety. The picture I posted 3 days ago of the coyote looking in the window, well he was looking in at Milo on his window seat!
Love orange cats!
Thinking that's a Black Angus? Just love the stunning black against the back ground colors.
You have far more carnivorous animals that would be of mortal danger to that kitten living in your area. I live in high density of manufactured homes. There are many groups of outdoor cats that some would consider ferrel that stay close to their homes where people feed and take care of them. We make sure they are all spayed and neutered. The raccoons on the other hand are free to roam the entire neighborhood, and find plenty of food to eat. State laws prevent us from trapping, or relocating the raccoons. Other visitors to my front porch include skunks, possums on a rare occasion. Fat Orange Cat normally just sits and watches the goings on.So glad to hear Fat Orange Cat is recovering well.
