Very low visibility during Wednesday's torrential rain.... I was out on the covered deck so the camera and I stayed dry.

Torrential rain has been amazing. We've gotten almost 15.25 inches here in Denver so far in 2023. Softball-sized hail. Tornadoes at 9000 feet in the high plateaus in the center of the state. Tornadoes in the suburbs of Denver. We may see something like those rain totals in 12 months for a bad year. It tends to around 8 inches or so over a 12 month period, including equivalents in snowfall. Zoiks.

Leatherleaf slug
The Veronicellidae, also known by their common name the leatherleaf slugs, are a family of pulmonate terrestrial slugs.
The herbivorous molluscs occur mainly in the tropical and subtropical areas of America, Asia and Africa.
This one was observed in the South Luzon area of the Philippines.
They act as intermediate hosts of the rat lung worm Angiostrongylus costaricensis, and act as a vector for other human diseases. They also cause significant damage to crops.
