.. a personal note --- I have owned two VW Beetles over the years -- first one, was my very first car, and was purchased immediately after I took driving lessons, and was licensed to drive - a turquoise, Custom model (no chrome around windows, and such), purchased while attending UBC in Vancouver, BC (1960's) --- the second one - a lime green, Deluxe model - was purchased in New Brunswick, after I had moved, and started my first job (1970's). For me, fantastic vehicles at the time -- so economical and reliable to operate.
I think a lot of us had a VW at one time or another. My first car, back in 1963. I thought turning rear wheel around was 'cool'. Don't remember the year, had a matching sunroof.

Will make an exception and post his here.
This is Cow Parsnip common to much of North America. It's related and similar to Giant Hogweed. Sap contains phototoxins so if you happen to be hiking in shorts and one of these is intruding into the trail area be very careful not to break any of the stems and get sap on your legs.

Rather than spread it over 3 days, there is more info over in the Relaxed Photo thread.
