22 July 2014 the Commonwealth Games Baton relay made it's way round Glasgow after visiting the 71 nations of the Commonwealth. Here the baton is handed over at Ibrox Stadium.
Yesterday was the first time I'd seen Alfred actually sitting down! Apparently he is adopting our pier as his new favorite place to hang out, which is more than fine with me... He takes the typical heron pose of scrunching up his neck and huddling into his body. He has to carefully fold his long, thin legs and slowly move into position in order to sit comfortably, though! I also watched him rise back up and then again later sit down again -- fascinating to see.
