I think it’s called a lock in English? Correct me if I’m wrong 🙂

From our little trip to middle of Sweden for a couple of weeks ago.
Canals can have locks, as it’s a place where they handle elevation changes for ships. “Lock and dam” make it possible to move things upstream, and it’s a really cool system.
