Honestly though, I have never seen a gator (or heard a gator grunt) at this lakefront park and is probably more legal CYA by the city.

Be careful! Never saw one this this lake either, until he crawled out to get some sun.
They're HERE! No need to go to the Tidal Basin downtown in DC; these are right here in my own neighborhood. We have several trees and they are in various stages at this point, so I was delighted to discover that one actually has blossoms on it now. It was very windy this afternoon as I was trying to get photos but I managed a few..... I am not sure if these are Cherry Blossoms, Apple Blossoms or some other kind of blossoms, but they're so lovely and a wonderful harbinger of spring:

The ornamental cherry tree in our garden is about a week behind yours, with small pink buds at the moment.
