Today is my diptych loop day! The one that inspired our Photo Association thread.

My photo is the one on the right, with the sky. 🙂

All of these flower photos are very colorful. As someone who used to paint a lot, I focus / obsess on color. Really good stuff, and a nice counterpoint to the cat photos I post. ?

this is amazing!
are these deer (or Carabou) everyday guest in your yard?
yes and using airplane mode helps. I don't get quite the battery life as I did with my dSLRs but I have spare batteries and it's never been a huge issue. I do notice that the battery in the Z6ii is better than the Z6 battery (it's a newer version).
The battery for Canon's R5 and R6 are of a higher capacity than the batteries used for DSLR cameras such as the 5D and 7D-series, because these two mirrorless cameras use more battery power. I should purchase an backup battery for my R6, but so far I haven't had the need for a second battery because of the following: the batteries I use with the 5D and 7D DSLR cameras are fully compatible with the battery in the R6. So I can always remove the battery from one of these two cameras and use it as a backup, but at a reduced capacity. All these batteries are similar, except that the one in the R6 is of a higher capacity.

I bought the battery grip to my R6, but will switch that to my R5 instead. Haven't tested it out completely yet. R5 will arrive tomorrow, so I'll have the easter holiday to try it out a bit.

I usually don't post more than 1 photo a day but when the rain started here I noticed outside my window this bird flying back and forth to this same spot. I got my camera and then could see he was bringing little twigs to the bird to his right in this photo lying on the branch. He would get on top of the other bird, hand off the twig and then walk off to this branch and look around for other twigs to pick up. All during a pretty heavy rainstorm. Nature is really amazing.

I think most of us have violated this once or twice, but it is the photo of the day thread, not photos so please be mindful going forward. ? I have sometimes posted twice to show a pullback or other information but we try to keep true to the spirit of the thread.
will do, best

I asume that's a rare shot. Great.
I have a little bit better one where stepped 6' to the left. Didn't want to put it up on the last day of the month.

Not too often get a daylight owl photo. Was actually shooting Great White Egret nesting in same city park and walked towards lake where saw the owl camouflaged within the moss. Actually stayed there for the longest time as quite a bit of commotion in the park. In addition to the birds, Sunday was a popular day for graduation, family and pre-wedding photo shoots in this particular park.

There is a R5 and R6 firmware upgrade coining up (version 1.3x), but don't upgrade until Canon USA posts the link. The new firmware includes the ability to save your individual settings and modes-including what you have on C1, C2, and C3-to one of the two cards. This way you can retrieve the settings and save them on the new firmware. This feature is only available for the R5.

Just remember not to upgrade the firmware to version 1.3 (version 1.2 is fine, however)

Yes, thank You, I read it this morning (currently 08:34 AM in Sweden) that Canon has pulled the FW (to the R6 at least)

I stepped over that line when I wanted to have feedback on contrasting cropping - Is there sufficient justification for another thread for that type of posting? Or does one have to use the following day?
