Outsmarted by a Squirrel

Day One :

Little fellow (my nickname for the squirrel) was getting frustrated as I put a squirrel guard on my bird feeder. Little Fellow tried about 4 or 5 times to get to the food, but each time he/she flopped to the ground. In between Little Fellow would spread out looking like roadkill on the deck. It was pretty funny watching Little Fellow's antics.

Day Two :

Persistence pays off for Little Fellow. Little Fellow took some time, but figured how to get into the bird feeder. L.F. did a long jump off the deck onto to squirrel guard then catapulted into the feeder. Moral of the story is wildlife is smarter than you think and you are not as smart. ?

There is a spot along the highway in Frank, AB where I've always wondered what was on the other side of the somewhat elevated RR tracks. Yesterday took about 15 minutes and found out. Things are still pretty bland around here and the lighting was borderline crappy, so post imaging may have been a bit aggressive. Needs to be viewed full size.
