I love the Appalachian’s. We have stayed in cabins and such several times in the Smokies a bit to the south west in and around Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg Tennessee and love the streams, waterfalls and sounds daytime or nighttime brings back memoriesLast week in the mountains (Todd, NC) with my family we had a beautiful stream running beside our cabin for some wonderful, serene mountain woods white noise. The two photos give a view to the left and the right accordingly. The attachment is the cabin we stayed in, and the stream is on the other side of the cabin.

Yeah, the mountains are our favorite getaway. We have been to Pigeon Forge also. I love the peace and serenity of the mountains and a good hike.I love the Appalachian’s. Brings back memories...I lived for a while in Cullasaja, North Carolina, it's between Franklin, NC and Highlands, NC. Hiked the beautiful mountain trails and fished the pristine mountain streams. I was 4 miles from this amazing falls and many other waterfalls, rivers, trails, etc.Last week in the mountains (Todd, NC) with my family we had a beautiful stream running beside our cabin for some wonderful, serene mountain woods white noise. At the Owl Sanctuary we saw this Snowy Owl that was owling or laughing at us. Not easy to get a photo behind the net.
They rescue owls and friends , cure and fix what they have broken and put them back in the wild. A snowy owl is very difficult to find, they are not so many left . Did you know you can see eye-to-eye with owl, if you're looking into its ear.zy

I think that one can fit under the "triptychs".... and please do not use all caps, there simply is no reason to shout (unless of joy). This is the Photo of the Day. ONE image per day, please.
