Actually, that is a real capsule (not Dr Who's Tardis)

Can you imagine being cramped up in that for hours, then plop down in the ocean and hope they are nearby to get you.
Thanks!
I realize that this was a space shuttle, or in this case, a save capsule.
My first thought however was that it looked like a Dalek from Doctor Who, so that was why I wrote like I did😊

But as you were saying, it must have been claustrophobic to been in there for a long time.
But on the other side, if i were claustrophobic, I wouldn’t be there in the first place, because I wouldn’t be chosen to the program.
Its like having a pilot being afraid of heights😁

I'm pretty sure it is the Apollo 13 capsule which is a decade before a space shuttle... It is baffling that anyone wants to go into space in any confined tin can.... if it goes wrong IT goes wrong

When I saw the capsule at the Cape, I couldn’t believe how crude the construction looked. It had fender washers held on with phillips screws all over the outside.

Edit: After looking closely at the photo, I realize I was remembering the first Mercury capsule.
