It's -27°C outside so hopefully you'll forgive me for not stepping outside.

Where do you live? Over the weekend it was 82°F here in Raleigh, NC, and still in the 60's and 70's this week.

Male and female Hooded Mergansers looking behind them to be sure the three other ones are following. I'm so happy to see these guys back again! They are likely to hang around with us all winter and then take their leave in the spring, usually around April.

What's wrong with a blown out sky? It serves as great negative space in your image.

A day late with a moonshot, sadly an uneclipsed version. Through my west window this AM. It's -27°C outside so hopefully you'll forgive me for not stepping outside. Hand held.
Lumix ZS200 camera. Lens set at 360mm equivalent. Cropped in all the way. 3 ƒ-stop under exposure. SS=1/400, ISO=250. Cropped to 100% resolution.
