Coffee and The Book

I like collecting high end Bibles. This is an ESV Omega Thinline Reference from Crossway. Wonderful feeling goatskin leather, beautiful gilding and great paper. It's a beautiful thing to hold and use.

Yep, I succumbed, it was just a matter of time..... LOL! I was pleased that the phone in the size, color and capacity I wanted was available so readily..... I remember availability in years past being really constrained. As for Touch ID, don’t miss it a bit, have been very happy with Face ID on my iPhone X and now with the iPhone XS..... But, yeah, that and the presence of a home button would have clued me in that I was positioning the phone wrong!!! LOL!

Now I just need to figure out to do that fancy new DOF/bokeh thingy when I start shooting photos with the XS, and also get my Apple Watch Series 3 properly paired and updated; something went awry there and I haven’t yet got that straightened out..... So far I’m loving the new iPhone XS!

A culvert under a forest trail.

One of eight monochrome prints I ordered to frame.

I find myself leaning into the photo to peer through the culvert. Nicely done!

Only a couple more shots from the weekend to go. Comments always appreciated.

Along the wall

Oh my.
The rock in the foreground, stone wall, and buildings tie in beautifully with the mountain ridge.

Beautiful.

"Agreed, but where’s yours?" (as someone famous once said!) :p:D
[doublepost=1538670167][/doublepost]Meet Waffle! He's a sabre tooth tiger, named by the daughter of the person who started the project.

In the Fuji forum I post on one of the members drew up a list of those who would like to host him for a while and show him the sights. Afterwards we'd send him on to the next person in the list. When it came to it I didn't really want to part with him! Anyway, he was with me for a while and on one of our journeys we stopped off for a coffee …
