Wow

Curious, can a snake really be called a pet? Their brain is not big enough to understand the concept as far as I know. Same with birds / hamsters etc.

Could a dog or cat “understand” this either? A well trained dog may understand who it’s master is, but cats have no master! ??

A shot of one of our family pets - a Piebald Ball Python. Taken with my iPhone 11 Pro.

Those handlebars look too clean..... I hope the snake isn’t the only one riding the Peloton! ?

True that. Cats are just selfish by nature but they can still cozy up to get what they want. But dogs definitely understand commands and gestures.

As noted yesterday, a little history on the flowers. 10+ years ago they didn't exist but today stretch for miles along the north shore of Lake Jessup. They bloom for about 3 weeks each year and many years the area is flooded which relates to their origin, but this year it is dry. Following a hurricane they floated up the swollen and flooded St Johns River and became trapped in Lake Jessup which is an offshoot of the river. This flood plane shore is normally a cow pasture and in previous dry years have ridden my mountain bike through it following cow paths as the flowers are 6 to 9 feet high. May take my bike out this weekend for a little fun.

This particular photo was taken holding the tripod over my head and remote iPhone trigger. Tomorrow will post at ground level.

Our cat thinks she’s a dog. She comes when you call her and everything. If you are gone too long, she will let you have it as well. Great with people, hates other animals.

I guess it depends on your definition of “pet.” I’ve been raising it from a hatchling and we feed it, hold it, etc. It’s hand tame, etc. So - to me it’s one of our pets. But no, it won’t come when called. Heh.

Haha - I admit I should be riding it more than I am currently, but i’m also particular about wiping it down and keeping it clean after every ride. ?
