ps, I should try unlocking a face-id device with that face

I very much like this @needfx. Truth be told, I draw a lot inspiration from what I see in this forum and I'm thankful for it. Now I just need to make the time to get out and try out for myself some of the things you guys are doing. :)

ps2, changed my mind

this reminds of those push needle things. I have no idea what they’re called, but I’m sure y’all know what I’m talking about. That’s so cool looking! It’s what your phone thinks you look like too! Ha!

It’s been some time since I’ve posted anything in this thread. Life has been busy. But here’s a tiny glimpse of one of the pathways gladiators used to get to the arena.

I took a special late night colosseum tour during my last visit to Rome.

Love that shot!
Thanks ... It was taken in Fillmore Gorge in upstate New York .There's a series of these steps and bridges on the trail through the gorge .The place is pretty narrow and shady, and I ended up setting the ISO a bit higher than I'd have liked . I had initially set the shot aside when I first viewed it but decided to play around with it some and was able to bring out a lot of the darker areas , and tone down some of the blown areas .

In contrast to @AllergyDoc's post above, here is something macro rather than micro in scale. No matter how many times I try, still can't get across the scale of the wet prairies in the Everglades. This is an 8-shot pano (original was 18000x6000px, around 700MB TIFF). fantastic detail at that size but a bit big for posting here. Comments always appreciated.
