Last Stand Hill, Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument, Montana. Marble markers stand at the location that bodies of Custer’s men were found – nobody is actually buried there (Custer is at West Point). It was surprising how nondescript and middle-of-nowhere the battlefield seems.
