On post #101 of this months thread I posted a photo from 2013 of a winch. What I didn't explain was the winch was used to control the ramp for the old Govan Ferry, which closed in the 1960s.

This week I wandered down to Govan and I was surprised and delighted that the winches had been relocated slightly and painted as ...

Going over old photos. Helsinki 2009
Helsinki Cathedral is the Finnish Evangelical Lutheran cathedral of the Diocese of Helsinki, located in the neighborhood of Kruununhaka in the centre of Helsinki, Finland, at the Senate Square. The church was originally built from 1830 to 1852 as a tribute to the Grand Duke of Finland, Emperor Nicholas I of Russia. It was also known as St Nicholas's Church until Finland declared its full independence in 1917. - Preview and macOS says.

Don't know the guy on the pedestal, but the flower grove composition is quite nice!
If you've time, could you make another picture, just the grove?
The guy on the pedestal is Nathan Hale.

"Nathan Hale (June 6, 1755 – September 22, 1776) was an American Patriot, soldier and spy for the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. He volunteered for an intelligence-gathering mission in New York City but was captured by the British and executed. Hale is considered an American hero and in 1985 was officially designated the state hero of Connecticut.[1]"

I'm actually going back downtown this weekend, will try to get a photo of just the grove
