I picked up a Target Brownie 6-16 box camera from ca. 1948 at an antique shop a few days ago. As its name suggests, the camera uses 616 format film, which is no longer produced, but since 616 spools are larger than 120-format spools, it's possible to simply put some padding on either end of a 120 spool and use regular 120 film, provided that when the roll of film is finished, the camera must be opened in a changing bag and the film loaded directly into a developing tank. Before loading a roll of film into the camera, however, I wanted to make sure the camera doesn't have light leaks, so I cut a piece of expired photo paper, stuck it inside the camera in the dark, and held the camera still to make a 5-minute exposure directly onto the photo paper. This is the result, and aside from how creepy the teddy bears look in a negative image, looks like the camera is still functioning normally after more than 70 years.

Asked Gemini, where this might be? Is Gemini right?

Based on the image, this is most likely the Clarence F. Buckingham Memorial Fountain in Grant Park, Chicago, Illinois.

The distinctive architectural style, the tall central water jet, and the surrounding water basin are strong indicators of this famous landmark. The setting sun and the dramatic clouds in the background add to the picturesque scene.
