Wherever I hang my hat...
GORGEOUS capture, LOVING the (tractor) tracks in the middle........... where is this place Tebay?? I'd book a flight right now to sit and contemplate this in person.......

This is Dentdale, in the Yorkshire Dales... just about my favourite place in England. Fly over. Do it today... we've finally got a bit of sunshine after the gloomiest August on record. :)

Fishing - and waiting patiently - at Corrie, Isle of Arran, Scotland.

I love your photo firstapple, makes me think of my golden retriever at home all the way across the world *tears*

Thanks for you comments superted666 and pseudodave:) As for what I've done to the photo/sky, it wasn't all too complicated. All I did was push the white balance way yellow and tint it really green, saturated it some more, bring up the vibrancy then add a vignette.

Here's another pic from the airshow

one huge cat

now this one is quite something, wonderful details in the fur and some nice grain to round it off.
with the pose and the photographic style it just screams "raw and rawr"

Autumn is crawling in

Nikon D40, 30mm

There is nothing in perfect focus, as it would look really distracting otherwise, trust me on this one.

The D40 makes a very fine portrait camera, it's a little soft, but I like it a great deal. Nice BW treatment.

I would say that the lens is soft, not the camera. If the photo was taken with a 18-55mm, then it might be the cause of a soft portrait. Tho, must of the time, the 18-55 performs pretty well.
