Never in my life have I seen a Road Runner done up as the General. I don't hate it but it's odd.
I was standing across the freeway shooting the windmills across the way (in what would have probably been a deleted photo) when that truck with the General Lee knock-off drove into my shot. I love it when things like that happen!

A Milestone In Structural Engineering 🪽

🔎 Point of View: 875 Michigan North Michigan Avenue (formerly John Hancock Center)

The John Hancock Center isn't just important to Chicago; it's important to city skylines across the world. When it was completed 50 years ago, it changed what architects and engineers thought was possible."

The John Hancock Center is a 100-story, 1,128-foot supertall skyscraper located in Chicago, Illinois. Located in the Magnificent Mile district, the building was officially renamed 875 North Michigan Avenue in 2018.

When the building topped out on May 6, 1968, it was the second-tallest building in the world after the Empire State Building and the tallest in Chicago. It is currently the fifth-tallest building in Chicago and the thirteenth-tallest in the United States, behind the Aon Center in Chicago and ahead of the Comcast Technology Center in Philadelphia.

With its mixed-use program and bold structural design, the former John Hancock Center transformed Chicago's skyline and set the tone for a new era of high-rise construction.
