Yes, Aperture has issues with RAW conversion (noise), but it's a fantastic Apple product, and the 1.1 update is due mid-April which apparently upgrades a lot of the issues with this, and other things, including being a Universal Binary.
Lightroom cannot be suggested for someones workflow right now - it is in beta, and as such I would never port my pictures into it, other than to test it out. Unless your really willing to deal with beta product issues, I wouldn't use it for production - nor would any semi-pro or serious amature.
