Won’t bore everybody with nasty details, but the Apple upgrade program fell through for me so I cancelled. Going to buy a new phone later. My grandson could use a first phone (16 yrs old) so I’m giving my 12PM to him for his birthday tomorrow. He’s a good kid who is starting his Air Force ROTC program, and I want to support however I can. I’ll be phoneless for a while and definitely without a 12PM so no more posting in this group.
Posted my goodbyes on the iPhone purchase/tracking thread today but got no responses so I’m posting here for those who may be interested/care.
Wiping this phone tonight to get it ready, so maybe I’ll see y’all again down the road when I get a new phone. It’s been fun sharing photos over the last year. Later!

Everything kind of evolved and the crappy experience I had with the upgrade program this year drove me this direction. It’s only a phone and there’s things more important in life. I’ll likely be back, but in a different thread with a different phone. 🤠
Last few pics with my 12 Pro Max, sent off to recycle today and now using a 7 Plus til Friday. Missing the cameras already 😔

My grandson got my 12PM for his birthday and he was stoked! He headed out yesterday for Air Force ROTC and I couldn't be happier. Military will be good for him. I may be biased since I'm going into my 38th year in the Army.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get my new iPhone 13PM using the upgrade program. Even through my order was placed within 1 minute after the store went live, my shipping date ended up being October 16th. Some loyalty for an Apple device owner since my 1984 2C, and every iPhone since its inception.
Anyway, I got a great deal on a Samsung Note 20 Ultra, so that will be my phone until the iPhone 14 is released next year. No more upgrade program for me though. What an absolute mess it was this year; for me anyway. I'll just buy one outright after the hubbub dies down from the launch.
For those who got new 13's, enjoy your new phones! For those who will continue to enjoy the 12PM, it is a great phone. I don't plan on returning until I get a 14PM in a year, so until then! Thanks again for the friends in this forum who said goodbye in this thread, and to those who sent me a message. Cool how you can make friends over a forum like this
