‘Photography is more than a medium for factual communication of ideas. It is a creative art.’

‘Dodging and burning are steps to take care of mistakes God made in establishing tonal relationships.’

-- Ansel Adams
Not many people know of Ansel Adams any more, but he would spend more time in the dark room, to get the best of all his images...

sorry I meant to say any more, he was a great photographer from the “olden days...

Just about all images can benefit from slight editing,
Only thing i would point out is you shouldn’t have framed out the tips of the cats ears, other than that it’sa very nice picture

Excellent point on the ear tips, whether it be original framing or editing. Similar was once pointed out to me in the picture of an English cottage where I had clipped off the top of the chimney.

And he liked sharing his ideas on photography. I met him in 1969 at an art faire in Carmel, CA. Even though I was only 8 at the time, he took the time to speak with me.

First time using night mode, i know its not brilliant, thought it was a cool picture
Not all photos need to be sharp and crisp. Having softness and some grain can give some great effects. I've taken the photo and changed it to black/white and did some minor editing as an example.

Meebo951: If you'd like me to delete this post, let me know. It's bad form to repost someone else's photo without permission, and for that I apologize, but I wanted to provide this example of why it's not a bad photo; in fact, I think it's pretty awesome. The ground fog and the slow river looks quiet and a bit ominous.

I agree and was thinking the same thing with this image, and even in the original it has a nice soft feel, but even with the muted colours it’s got a lot of “feeling”, and i see a lot of detail...

From a recent walk taken using ProRAW and edited in the photos app. I do have some moment lenses and going to try using them again with the 12 Pro Max so just ordered their new MagSafe photo case.

Any decent tripod recommendations for night mode shots and using the moment telephoto lens?
