Taken with an iPhone X during our drive out in the country. That’s not my property, but I live similarly, minus the great barnlike structure. It’s from a Live Photo. I wasn’t sure how any of my on the road photos would turn out because the car was going so fast and light was poor and the windows weren’t very clean but I ended up with a lot of good shots. Almost all of them were decent. The camera picked up the teal tint of the window glass, unfortunately

I love how this almost looks like a black and white photo until you notice the yellow lines on the road.

I believe this was using the 2x zoom in the iPhone X. I got some incredibly sharp focused shots despite the motion of the car thanks to OIS on the zoom lens.

The top pic reminds me of a Petrus van der Valden painting.
Nice.
Thank you. I looked up some of his work and I guess the teal tint from the window wasn’t so unfortunate after all! He used colors very much like those in the photo. I don’t have very extensive art history knowledge despite having taken courses in college. Those tended to center on Asian art history and that was thirty years ago. So you’ve helped contribute to my education with your kind comment.

Your dog has the coolest eyebrows! Lol! Love it!

I do love winter photography. That scene is amazing. I love how the buildings are blended into the mist.

I have to say the camera on the X is pretty outstanding. Especially compared to my 7+ which to me was a big disappointment, especially after all the "low light camera" hype.

It does low light photos well. Indoor shots I took at a family party in a restaurant last night were amazing. Where I have complaints about it and my 7+ is that compared to the Pixel 2, it tends to lose details in highlights in well lit photos. For example, I can take daylight photos of my pergola and the Pixel 2 Photo will show the grain in the crossbeam. But the iPhone 7 Plus and X will just show a white highlighted area with no grain. It looks almost like smooth plastic.

On people, noses often look too bright and shiny even if the subject is dark skinned. Any light striking nose and cheeks will be amplified on photos taken with my X and 7 Plus. The 7 Plus is actually better at not blowing out highlights. But every camera has its foibles. You learn to work with what you have and how to compensate as best you can for any weaknesses.
