Some recent photos from our life in Northern Thailand.
For work we often visit rice fields (that's my wife in the first picture), we have a Thai dog, love local food (this is the best khao soi in Chiang Mai) and, relatively unknown, since a few decades Thailand grows coffee beans, so there is a thriving, delicious coffee scene.
Taken with a Galaxy Note FE and Google camera 5.1, no post-processing.

For some reason the last few outings I've had trying to take photos I haven't found things to be very good, I keep missing my intent or composition or just can't get things how I want.

Testing out night mode on my iPhone 11 pro
Eh, been a little bit since I've posted an image here (phew, right? 😜) Took this nothing special shot with my XL 2 while I was at the local wildlife refuge trying to test some gear and photograph some wildlife.
Really bummed I missed the fall colors, a strong cold front last week came in with our first snow and pretty much put a stop to that (and our power for several hours).

Was pretty much a uniform gray sky today... More over processed? XL 2 sunset pics. Maybe one of these days I'll catch a decent sunset with a decent composition . At least the colors are pretty (if I didn't over cook them...)

Snow day with the XL 2. Also blew a roll of film and might load up more later. Something about snow makes me want to photograph it and it black and white...
Nice pics! Can't to get some snow in the nearby mountains!
I miss going to the mountains, now they are very crowded also. Not to mention it takes 2-3 times longer to get anywhere.
I think this is one reason I've resorted towards close up and a bit abstract in my photography, unless I'm photographing storms or something.
