Yeah, this trip was unbelievable, Most fun I've had in a long while! I have a lot more pics (close to 1K) but i just skimmed through real quick and grabbed the ones that popped out for now.

I'm a huge fan of Manny so I wanted to time this trip for his fight, everybody was going crazy that day, and it was raining pretty bad out, only time you could look on the street of Manila and not see a single jeepney or side care in sight.

Tagatay was probably the most beautiful city I have ever seen in my life, so much so that I will definitely retire there most likely. First time I have ever had a fresh coconut (the green one) was on this trip as well; something everyone needs to experience at least once in their lives lol.

Tagatay's volcano that is pictured was awesome to see as well, we got very close. Anyone that would like a full rez pic for a wallpaper please let me know and I'll send it to you.

I see you down in the Subic Bay by the pictures there and i also see S--- river is still dirty as heck ..spent a few years there when i was in the military ..

Yeah, this trip was unbelievable,

Thanks for the visit in the Philippines. Was born and raised there, a true blood Filipino.:D

That is called "balut"...

Balut or Chicken embryo..
There are still lots of nice and beautiful places to see around the Philippines. You to go further up north or further down south. Most foreigners are welcome in the Philippines. We are friendly and hospitable people.

Very true...explore down south and you will see the the wonders of the Philippines, world class beach and dive resorts, nature and cityscapes.

That's what I love being in the Philippines, simple and happy living.

Beautiful pictures, my friend. I have yet to go to the Philippines. Will definitely think it through now after I've seen your pictures.

Planning on retiring there myself with my wife (PI citizen)...probably in either Davao or Cebu. Have not been to Cebu as of yet though. Love Davao and love Boracay...only thing I don't like is the heat and humidity :) But as a retiree I'll make sure I have A/C :)

The government in the Philippines is very corrupt. You can pay the Police off. I am amazed your camera was not stolen.

Let me tell you an amazing story...

My wife's family there lives in the worst part of the area (where most of those pics are from) when I would go out during the day to different places I would leave my bag in one of the house's this is what was in the bag...

Kelty Back pack - 500$ value
(2) iPad's
(2) iPhones
(1) MBP
and at the beginning of the trip 8000.00 USD would have converted to 341,219.87 PHP

Never was the pack rummaged through at all, these people could have took that bag sold it's contents and ran off to live the filipino dream. I have much respect for them because I won't lie, If I was in that situation with no running water, no diapers for my kids, badly able to eat and having to flush a toilet with a bucket of water from a local stream... I probably would have done the wrong thing if I found myself in that situation.

The Philippines is an amazing country, but if you're moving there - beware. Everyone, and I mean everyone, will try to scam you out of money. Everyone from your average street hustler to the police to the local politicians.

In westerners' eyes, many of them are lazy, cheap, egoistical and have zero sense of the future since they live pretty much hand to mouth. As an example, there have been a lot of poor people selling a kidney to make money. It gives them pretty much a years' salary, but from what I read when I was there, they couldn't find a single one who used that money to leave the slum and most of them were MORE in debt after a month or two than they were before (the reason why they sold an organ in the beginning) because they're living large when they can.

Every single white person I know that live or have lived there have pretty much identical stories. Like how after a while, you just put 100-150 pesos in your drivers license/passport because you're getting stopped all the time as a white person driving a vehicle. They're trying to come up with some ******** excuse to fine you, but if they see the money they'll just take it and let you go.

The easiest way to get a million bucks in the Philippines is to go there with two, as the old saying goes ;)

But as long as you're not naïve, have the balls to put your foot down and the intelligence to know who to bribe and either have a secure living or keep your valuables in a bank safe (and make sure people know you don't have anything valuable at home) - you'll probably be as close to heaven as you can be.

And before anyone accuses me of being racist or narrow minded or whatnot - I'm not. Go to any expat forum and ask them about The Philippines and they'll tell you the same thing... It's just about being real and not being taken advantage of in order to have that perfect life you're looking for, instead of standing there with nothing but bitterness after two years because you've been ripped off by everyone you trusted - of which there are more stories than there should be.

I'm dreaming of moving there and opening a small (10-15 rooms) hotel when the kids are all grown up and out of the house :)
