Just an FYI. The heatsinks aren't an Apple thing. They are Nanya thing (ram manufacuter). Apple may have chosen them because of this, but this isn't something Apple has done.

have you checked at all for "soft errors" on the RAM, i guess that is the problem going around with Non-Apple RAM, and did you notice any kind of fan speed change when you added the DMS RAM?
