A highly practical six speed Chinese cheapie, that I bought new for 3,300 baht (about $US 110) in 2003, plus another $20 for lights and basket. It has been in almost daily use since, for commuting and most other journeys within a 10 - 12 radius of my apartment..... up to 3 - 4 km it is usually quicker than a car and not much slower than a motorcycle.

I have worn out several tyres, and am on to my third chain and sprockets set...... and I don't own a single thread of lycra.

I guess I never posted this pic in this thread... So this bike finally became mine as of mid January! Cost me nothing, too! I did it as an exchange of computer help with my school's college counselor's husband.

Rides AMAZINGLY. Such a plush ride. Only thing I could ask for is a stiffer bottom bracket.

And here I am riding it (not sure why the flash went off, but I didn't have time to retake it) :

I'm SO happy with it! Costed about $5000, but worth every penny.

Got expensive this weekend. Traded a MBP for the specialized transtition elite with nice bars and then bought my baby (Cervelo P2C) full ultegra setup, carbon crank arms, full carbon bike. Swapped the vision lower and upper bars from the Cervelo with the Profile Designs Ozero base bars and T2+ carbon aero bars. Should lighten up the front end a bit. I like that my 29er and my Tri/TT bike match my vehicle also.

There are shoes and clothes to solve that problem! :p

Here it's 20 F with a 20 mph wind gusting to 40. I'll make due with the treadmill today, thank you.

My Bianchi Timberwolf has been hanging in the garage for a couple of years. I need to get the brakes worked over if I start riding again. Other then the frame and the rims, there's not much original left on it. I've done a bunch of upgrades as things wore out. I'd get photos, but I just got warmed back up after being outside doing inspections all day!

I've done 9 degrees once, and 15-20 pretty regularly. The wind will keep me in though unless I have a specific sport workout planned. I don't even like 20mph winds in the summer, guess I'm not very aerodynamic!
