Very nice. Leaps and bounds over the design of the g37 and its bulbous back :p

Yea I also hated the G series, I fell in love with the look of the new q's and the power they have, it is just awesome for the price. Even decided to change the exhaust within one week of ownership, lol. The OEM was too quiet for what they have on the "sport" q50.
Here is my undershot of the new exhaust.

It's a great car! I drove a first generation CTS for 4 years through high school, this is going to get me through the rest of college and likely all of grad school.

It's incredible how much was changed and refined on the second generation. I always thought the first gen was relatively in style (it didn't look boxy like other cars of its age) but man, side by side the difference is crazy.

Glad to see there are some others on MacRumors who aren't partial only to BMW and Audi :p

Yes, I though this forum was devoid of fellow Cadillac fans!

Mine is only a first-generation (2006) but it has about 25k miles on it and it's almost loaded so it was a steal. Technically I could trade/sell it and get a 2nd gen with more miles and make money off it, but I don't see enough incentive. They did a fantastic job with the current generation though, and even the ATS is enticing.

Aha you still have both?

A couple hundred in mods and a 1st gen could definitely add the 2nd gen grille and headlights. lol If I added a LED strip to my CTS some people would mistake it for the 3rd gen.

This is the way I want to remember my faithful servant... Not bleeding and with her heart outside her body.

My sister hit a rock that damaged the subframe, the transmission and the oil pan.

Got her for a steal but its going to take a lot of work and money to get this her back on the road. Starting to feel the strain of Ferrari parts on my wallet, $2500 in parts just for the major service and replacing old rubber lines. After that I have to get rid of the old TRX rims and tires.

A Mondial? Which one, the 3.2? I wish I had the space and time for an old project F-car. How fun would that be! :D

I do have to say, white is the best colour on the 2014 3! Do you have the tech package in your 3? How do you like the Bose system?

I agree, thats why I chose it! I have the i Touring Model with the tech package, it adds a lot to the car, the bose sound system is really nice, especially for a car at this price point. The car is fixed and will be picking it back up on monday!

Very nice! I'm sure you're excited to get it back! My Dad got the same exact 3 in Deep Crystal Blue Mica with the tech package. It's a really nice car and a huge jump in quality and value compared to older Mazda 3 models. I personally drive a 2005 Mazda 3i. The 2014 3 is a lot quieter, a lot smoother and a lot nicer feeling than my 3. I'm still in love with my 3 though. I'm installing a Corksport Power Series exhaust on Wednesday! I'm super excited for the exhaust!

The 3 does look like a fun car to drive! Plus it's insanely cheap to buy used. 2010-2011 can be found for ~ $7k. When the 2014 makes its way onto the used market I could consider it. My only qualm is the size of the car: I personally like the feeling of being in a large car even though a compact is easier to maneuver/park.

I love mine, fyi, its quite strange with the bumper off... All of this was because a clip broke...

You are absolutely correct! Any Mazda 3 is a blast to drive. I'm really glad that Mazda has infused a lot of it's "zoom zoom" spirit into the 3. I'd totally recommend the 3 to anyone. I understand that totally. I prefer the sedan but the hatch model is a bit larger feeling.

All of this because a clip broke? Dang.

Yeah the newer generations are gorgeous. Though I can't say I'm too crazy about the new, very tall vertical tail-lights on the 2015 Escalade.

I still have both for now, currently trying to sell the first gen. I would have lost some money if I traded it in and I've had some good luck in the past with selling cars so I'm hoping I'll be able to sell this pretty easily.
