Utah under the stars
Those are excellent shots of the Milky Way. I’m guessing that you used JPEG instead of raw based on the way they look. I know shooting in raw is not for everyone, but I know that it will produce finer and cleaner looking details of the individual stars. It’s nice to have nearby dark skies, I wish I did. Here’s one that I took using ProRaw from the default camera. individual stars can be seen a lot easier. JPEG tends to compress a lot and some what turns the milky way part of the shot to a cloudy mush instead of breaking it down into individual stars. Let me know what you think. Do you have any more photos of the Milky Way that you could share?
