Thank you… the Moment app is nice, no subscription, just a one time buy with other in app purchases. For the moon shot, I had the iPhone on a tripod and lowered the iso all the way down and raised the shutter speed until I liked the detail I saw on the moon. Here is a screenshot of the settings. Hopefully you’ll be able to try it soon. If you have Any questions, let me know…

Thanks and bought it. For $7.00 worth the price to test it. Halide was always good until they went subscription, yeah hard pass on that.

Will try with your tips. I am loving my 15PM white titanium and don’t miss my 14PM. My Dad however is loving it as he had a 11 so a good upgrade for him.

A compare between a full frame DSLR and a Sigma 150-600 at 600mm and the iPhone 15 pro Max at 120mm:

Nice comparison and Dslr takes this easily still if you do full screen but iPhone easy to carry.

I have a mirrorless for indoor volleyball as phones still suck for anything moving in sub par lighting

Do you (or anyone actually) actually have any "burst" mode iPhone 15PM action/sports shots at 5X? Just wondering how good it is at capturing outdoor action shots. That's the probably the sole reason I would upgrade. I hate carrying my DSLR around to my son's baseball games.

Yes 5x, Just hold down the volume up button. It is not a substitute for a dslr due to how it focuses.

Just saying it will work in a pinch but if you are trying for in focus pics for action it will not be totally up to the task vs dslr or mirrorless.

True and I should’ve been clear that I know how to use burst mode. I’ve taken some good ones using my 14 Pro @ 3X where the stands weren’t too far from the field. My son’s a pitcher so it’s different than trying to follow a soccer player.

Just wanted to examples of 5X to see if it’s worth the upgrade.

The Merlin app allow you to take a photograph of a bird so the app can identifiy it. My bird feeder is at most 5 feet away from my window but resulting picture on my 14 Pro Max was so small that Merlin couldn't use it. With the 5x I can stand right at the window (birds don't see me) and the app can identify the bird.
