Then there’s the overall image processing too, I feel as though Apple is adding way too much sharpening which makes pictures look like paintings.
I think it may be time to switch to the Pixel 6 Pro, love the Apple ecosystem but I use my camera on the daily and it’s been a major disappointment so far in my opinion. I’ll keep my 13 Pro so that I can always switch back but Apple is falling behind here. The only thing they’ve got going in the camera department is video quality.
Give Lightroom mobile a try. Either the professional or HDR raw modes. Far better results than the crappy iOS camera app.The more I take pictures with my 13 Pro the more I get disappointed with the processing and lack of dynamic range.
There’s been plenty of times where the sun would be completely blown out or the clouds are blown out.

You can buy see how it crushes the shadows and makes the subject barely visible? The Pixel 6 would have nailed this shot without adjusting the exposure.Adjust the exposure. View attachment 1899329 View attachment 1899330 I’m just learning. This is my attempts.
Much less so though, the Pixel 6 Pro sometimes comes out like someone took the HDR slider all the way up but at least you’re not getting over sharpened photos and better dynamic range. There are people saying the Pixel 6 Pro is doing the very thing you're criticising about the 13 Pro. In fact the over processing is worse in certain situations.
yes it is.Is that halo halo?
Haha halo halo is a Filipino dessert.
yes that is true for sure and seems weird it does that@TL24
I found for the over sharpening (got this from another in the iOS thread), after you take the photo, drop it into edit mode and then cancel it. For some strange reason it frequently kills off some of the over sharpening.
Using a 13PM.

Or maybe post them in the "Pictures taken with the Pixel 6 Pro" thread instead. 😆I was surprisingly able to pick up a Pixel 6 Pro today and I can definitely say the 13 Pro and 6 Pro are 1a and 1b.
I prefer the photos of the Pixel 6 Pro and how the photos look. The dynamic range difference is pretty crazy honestly, there are times where a darker look would benefit the photos more (13 Pro) but more often than not the 6 Pro took a better photo in my eyes.
I'll snap some direct comparisons tomorrow and post them here. I still love my 13 Pro but this 6 Pro is a monster.
You're not wrong lolOr maybe post them in the "Pictures taken with the Pixel 6 Pro" thread instead. 😆
