⚠️ Transamerica Pyramid, (SFO) San Francisco, California ⚠️

It is the second tallest building in the San Franciso skyline. It was the tallest building in San Francisco from 1969 to 2017. This building will always hold a special place in my heart.

My friend Darin Koch took this image of the eagle nebula with his iPhone 13 pro max and a 16 inch reflector telescope using a cell phone bracket attached to the eyepiece of the telescope. Using night mode for 30 seconds captured this awesome shot of the eagle nebula. To my knowledge, this is never been done before with an iPhone. I was not with him at the time, he imaged this from the city of Fort Davis Texas where are the skies are very dark and away from heavy light pollution. The Orion Nebula and M51 Whirlpool galaxy was also taken out there. It’s a little bit grainy but that’s what happens with a high ISO 30 second exposure. I wish Apple would increase their night mode exposure times two more than one minute. Give us a little bit more control Apple. Please.
