Fantastic shots, how DO you get the moon looking good in your photos? Mine come out really bad, same phone BTW.
Thank you! @decafjava I have also enjoyed your photos, as well as your taste in music. I am passionate about photography, and love that I can take great shots with my iPhone. The thing just amazes me. The native camera app does have its limitations though. I have been using an excellent camera app called ProCamera for a couple years now. It costs $12.99, but is well worth it imo. At least it's a one time cost, and not a stupid subscription. It gives you concise control over your photos, and gives results that the built in camera app just can't. Read some of the reviews. I highly recommend it if you want to see what your iPhone cameras can really do.

@bondr006 Nicely done! Can you please advise if it is better than the Halide pro camera app? Do you recommend this one over Halide?

Hello! I have not tried the Halide Pro Cam app, but it looks like they have a whopping 2 month free trial, so I am willing to give it a shot. Give me some time to check it out, and I will report back. Thanks for the heads up! Looks like a great app, and very comparable to ProCam. :)

BTW. Is Halide Pro what you use on your 14PM? You have some of the most beautiful content I have seen on this forum. I love coming to the POTD thread, and seeing all the photos from all over the US and the world. Very inspirational to be part of this group. I have met a lot of fine people since I have been here, and am very grateful for the opportunity to be part of this wonderful community.

@bondr006 Thank you! No sir. I just use the Apple’s Camera stock app. There is an old saying, “it's the photographer behind the camera.” That seems to be the case with me. So far it’s been working great!

I should use ProCamera or Halide App tho. Maybe take the photography into the next level? 🧐

Yes, these Pro apps will take you to the next level. To be honest, in normal and well lit circumstances, I also mostly use the stock camera app. I use ProCamera when I need more control than just point and shoot. If you really want to up your night shots, or just have that extra bit of control over a difficult photographic situation, the pro camera apps do very nicely.
