Nah, It has probably the most beautiful hard ware I have seen in terms of android, but I'm over mobile OS tablets now. Considering there aren't many pro's any more. You can get a windows device that has full access to hundreds of thousands of desktop class apps, as good battery life now etc

Nope, completely pointless device since Android barely has any tablet apps. You would be FAR better served with a Surface/Surface Pro 3.

Why do you say the Pixel C is completely pointless because of Android??

You know Android is getting advanced especially on tablets but i know what you mean about the lack tablets apps for Android on tablets , all Google needs to do is to really push developers to create tablets apps/games for Android tablets.

But the Pixel C it is NOT a pointless device and i'm sure the Pixel C will be a success even if Google don't get developers to create tablets apps for Android and all soo i would rather get a Ipad Air 2 over a Surface Pro 4 any day.

If you want a tablet, get a Surface Pro.

Or if you want to get a even better tablet then get a Ipad!!!

The Surface Pro is more of laptop then a tablet because of Windows OS is soo not touch friendly and don't have many apps that is designed for touch and and have lots of problems like viruses and not easy to use compared to IOS!!

So the Ipad is lots lots better as a pure tablet then Surface Pro(and other Windows based tablets/hybrids)!!!

I agree with you, but for different reasons. Windows 10 is great for hybrids and is a viable OS replacement for iOS. Viruses aren't as big of a deal anymore. However, if you already have a laptop, there's not point in buying a Surface. The Surface design makes compromises on both the tablet and laptop side in order to make the hybrid work. It's neither the best tablet nor the best laptop but it's a great option if you want both.

but if I were in the market for a high-end Android tablet I think I'd go with the Venue 10 7000

Cool! If i was in the market for a High end Android tablet it would be the Samsung Galaxy TAB S2 9.7!

But i already have a high end(and powerful) Android tablet and it is the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 despite it will be 2 years old next year in February and i am still very happy with it after over 1 year and a half of owning it. :)

If you're looking for a limited tablet to watch videos and play games, then yes the iPad is better. If you want a tablet that is actually a usable laptop replacement, where you can install full blown apps, the Surface is by far the better device.

Gotta disagree with you both, it's the ipad which has major limitations. I do agree that win10 went backwards in tablet functionality though, but at the same time don't find it particularly difficult to use versus iOS. I don't see where it sacrifices in either tablet or laptop function if we are comparing like to like, such as screen size, etc. It's certainly the best tablet out there bar none. It's the best laptop when compared to like sized laptops IMO. Best of both worlds.

You also have the choice of surface pro if you want the horsepower, or the non pro surface if you want full windows but in a lighter package with more battery life.

Now that I have one, I can't disagree with this. My SP4 is the best ultrabook and sometimes tablet I've ever owned.

As a tablet, well...it works in a pinch, but I'd say the iPad is a better all around pure tablet. I do love the pen functionality, and it's actually not half bad reading with it in bed at night (a little oblong, but not terrible at all). But most of my time with it thus far has been spent using the keyboard and trackpad.

I love the thing. Think it's one of my best tech purchases in a good, long while. But when I go to upgrade three or so years from now, I might find myself leaning more towards the Surface Book.

And by that time, they'll have fixed the teething issues the SB seems to be having.

Yup. First gen stuff is always exciting to buy into, but it also means you have to deal with paying a lot of money for what's basically a high end beta product. Dealing with software is one thing. It can be fixed. But untested hardware? If it's got any issues, you've got no choice but to deal with them for the life of your machine.
