this has happened to me, when the connection drops to 3G or faux 4G it'll connect me to really nearby towers but when I prefer LTE it connects me to an antenna that it is not particulary close, yet I get good signal around 3-4 bars of LTE.

LTE is still scarce, I'm guessing with time all towers will be upgraded

----------

it shows you info on the antenna its connected to and which other towers the iPhone can see (meaning you can swap sims and know which carrier has the better gear/coverage/antennas? )

----------

send him feedback over twitter @planetbeing

How would i know which carrier has the better coverage by switching sims? How would i switch sims? Like getting another service from another carrier?

You use your hand and a clip to remove/install the sims it is pretty straight forward. I don't know how service works on your country but in mine it automatically picks up service whether or not your have a plan. It will then prompt you to acquire one ota

So you say about buying many sim cards from different carriers? How would you buy just a sim without signing a contract for a plan?

I can't save your life but I can tell you a secret... you can swap sims with your buddies who have other operators
