I'm ready to upgrade my iMac and have been looking at the TouchSmart also. I was looking at the new models with the HDMI input and wondering if I could buy a Mac Mini also and use the TouchSmart for the monitor. Anyone tried something like that?

the hp sucks.. its overpriced.. pc fanbois may argue it has quad core!! but its mobility. the graphics chip sucks. even though the hp has blu ray, tv tuner. the imac has the apple brand, ability to run winblows, large screen, better processors, customer serivce, gpu, and most of all superior build quality. with the imac you get the best of both worlds.

Windows 7 makes the HP the winner IMO... plus it'll probably be built better and last longer...;)

nO WAY hp build quality is always inferior to that of apples. apple has a solid looking and feeling and truly strong aluminium build. plastic cracks.. al uminium bends.

I'm not really looking to debate which is better. I was looking at putting together a set-up with separate PC and Mac computers, but have the ability to use one monitor and switch back and forth with ease.

cracking cases
dodgy SD's and failing HD's

Apple's recent QC and build quality is a joke..

hahah imac has been really bad lately yeah..but its true apple resolved most of it. HP is still really low on the build quality. the cases do not crack.. apple is pretty good with these imacs.. the supplier who supply the hd and the led backlights are to blame honestly.
