Heh, I've gone from a 37" samsung lcd, to a 50" plasma, now with my 47" led lcd as posted previously

The downfall with lcd's have been the backlighting flaw because the crystals are around the edges, hence why contrast has been so much higher on plasma. The new led lcd with backlighting really is the way of the future imo. THX certification will tell you how good of a television you are getting. With proper ambience in the room this makes all the difference. Still standing behind my new led lcd, there just is not comparison to the features and quality. Of course, price is what gets ppl. But up to 36 month interest free at best buy if you cant pay in cash. All in all, go for a tv that looks good to you from how far you intend to sit and try to get one with thx certification so you know it has as close to cinema capability as possible. Of course their certification can open a debate, but I think we all agree having it tells you of the capacity of your tv set.
